Bailing

by Lucio Durán

Outside, the rain drools, it thinks itself infinite, timid. Inside, the storm rumbles, it knows itself strong, colossal. You're not sure if you need to go out or come in, once again, you hesitate, the fear of getting wet and the panic of not hearing fulfill their purpose of forcing you to bail. If someone more than the entire world offered to cooperate, if escaping depended on something beyond willpower and magic, then, perhaps, you would speak with your voice and ask for another chance, then, it's likely you'd take the step toward here or there. But outside it rains, and inside it won't stop thundering.
